Training

Our training programs aim to develop the skills and capacity of BIPOC creators. The CaribbeanTales’ Micro-Credential Certificate Program harnesses the superior expertise of selected media industry professionals who are at the top of their respective fields. Creators of Colour Incubator (CCI) is a year-round development and production hub for creators and producers that supports strong, compelling and sustainable content for the global market. CaribbeanTales. The CaribbeanTales Black Incubator and Studio Access Project (CTBISAP) is a business and production hub for black filmmakers designed to build capacity in the Black Canadian Film Industry.

Production

The production arm of CaribbeanTales, CaribbeanTales Flix produces original Caribbean content and promotes co-production in Canada, the Caribbean, and Africa. Productions include Hero: Inspired by the Extraordinary Life & Times of Mr.Ulric Cross; Caribbean Girl NYC and Kingston Paradise. Currently in development are four new films: In the Black; Left of Marx; short film A Trip to Ottawa; television series Queen of the Rain.

Festivals & Events

CaribbeanTales Media Group is home to CaribbeanTales International Film Festival, CineFAM Film Festival and the Windrush Caribbean Film Festival. CTFF (CaribbeanTales International Film Festival) celebrates the talents of established and emerging filmmakers of Caribbean and African heritage who practice their art across the Caribbean Diaspora worldwide. CineFAM Film Festival highlights and supports bold, original film stories by Women and non-binary creators of colour around the globe. Windrush Caribbean Film Festival is our newest festival and aims to engage and educate audiences in cinemas and art venues across the UK about the contributions of the Windrush generation and its impact on the country. Distribution

CaribbeanTales Worldwide Distribution (CTWD) was founded as the first full-service film distribution company in the English-speaking Caribbean. It aims to become the one stop shop for producers and buyers of Black and Diasporic content worldwide. Our catalogue has 900+ titles including 125 titles by Black Canadian filmmakers.  We have sold content to broadcasters and educational institutions in Europe, Africa, and the Americas. We also have released a selected number of films theatrically.
